Recommended Shops and Retail Outlets
We all appreciate a little help and advice when shopping for outdoor equipment. A good retailer should know their products and be able to help their customers make the right choice when purchasing that all important item for the next outing. Retailers that excel in this way should be recognised so we decided to set up a web page to identify them.
We do not receive any commission or advertising fees when recommending specific retailers. We do this solely for the benefit of members of the scout group so that they can find good quality retail outlets.
Criteria and Recommendations
The only way a retailer can get on our list is by recommendation from a member of a scout group through personnel experience. When considering recommending a retailer please think about the following:
- Did the retailer have an in depth understanding and knowledge of their products?
- Did the retailer provide you with enough information to make an informed decision on your purchase?
- Did their goods represent value for money?
- Did they provide sound advice and were they helpful?
