Be Informed
We want to keep you fully informed of the activities your child is involved in. To achieve this we need to establish good clear channels of communication. We periodically issue newsletters and often provide handouts that give notice of forthcoming events.

How you can help
You can help by ensuring the Registration, Additional Information and Gift Aid Forms that you receive are completed and handed to the section leader at the first meeting your son or daughter attends. In addition please support your Beaver, Cub or Scout by ensuring their attendance at meetings and letting us know promptly about attendance at other scouting events.
Please help at meetings, either on a regular or occasional basis and offer to help at events and activities. It really doesn’t take very much time and it makes a huge difference to the enjoyment your son or daughter will experience as they progress through the scout movement. We value the contribution that parents make to the Scout Group and we want to make the experience as enjoyable for you as it is for the young people that you help. We will keep you informed and provide information about the activities you will be involved in when helping out.

Looking to help
We are looking to increase the size of the Holmes Chapel Scout Group through an active recruitment campaign. To do so we need to make sure we have sufficient leaders in place so we are looking to recruit leaders and assistant leaders over the next few months. Full training is given and you will find working with the Scout Group very rewarding. All that is required is for you to contribute a few hours each week and the more leaders we have the easier the job becomes.
